What is this method?
You save a credit card on file. On the 1st of each month, Snappy generates an invoice for all gifts claimed in the previous month and automatically charges this card.
1. How to Add a Credit Card
Navigate to the Billing tab.
Click + Add Billing Method > Select Credit Card.
Enter Details: Add a name (optional) and card info.
Set Spending Limit:
Enter Amount: Stops you from sending gifts if you exceed this limit.
Leave Blank: Allows "Unlimited" sending (subject to your account's monthly credit limit, usually $15k).
Click Add Billing Method.
2. Updating Your Card (Important!) ⚠️
If your card expires or needs replacing, do not create a new billing method. You must Edit the existing one.
Why? Gifts are linked to the specific billing method ID used when sent. If you create a new method, old gifts will fail to charge against the old card. Editing ensures a seamless transition.
How to Edit:
Click the Pencil Icon (or three dots) next to your card.
Select Edit and input the new card details.
Click Save Changes.
3. Fixing Unpaid Invoices
If a monthly charge fails (e.g., card expired), the invoice will show as "Unpaid."
Go to Billing > Invoices.
Download the PDF of the unpaid invoice.
Open the PDF and click the "Pay Online" link.
Enter credit card details via the Stripe page to settle the balance.
⚠️ Requirements & Limits
Monthly Credit Limit: Most accounts have a $15,000/month limit on this method. If you hit this limit, you must switch to Prepay for the rest of the month.
Payment Terms: This method is typically reserved for Enterprise clients. To qualify, you generally need:
Enterprise Annual Plan
$50k+ Annual Spend
Finance Approval (Contact
billing@snappy.com)
Note: If your credit card has expired, filter for "Expired" status instead of "Active, Draft." It will be removed from your main view, but you can edit it with updated expiration details when adding a new card.
