How to Manage Your Snappy Account Billing

Updated over a week ago

Notice something new on your Dashboard? We added a new feature to show you how close you are to hitting the $15k monthly credit limit so you don't have to prepay unless your total monthly gift sends exceed the $15k limit! 🌟

At Snappy, we strive to provide our customers with flexible billing options to enhance their gifting experience. In this article, we will explain how credit limit availability works and how you can make use of prepayments to conveniently send gifts. Let's dive in!

Credit Availability Management:

Your monthly credit limit is the maximum amount you can spend on gifts each month without having to prepay for gifts. The credit utilization is calculated by the estimated cost (gift budget, estimated fee and tax) of the gifts which were sent during the month. If you reach your credit limit, you will need to use a prepayment billing method for any additional gifts sent in that month.

You will be able to use the following billing methods to prepay for your gifts:

Option 1 - “Instant Payments” Billing Method:

You can use the Instant Payments Billing Method for additional gift sends when your credit amount is reached. Here's how it works:

A. Credit Card Checkout:

During the gift send process, when selecting which billing method to use, you can choose to pay for the estimated cost of the gift (gift budget, estimated fee and tax) with a credit card. This option can be found under the Instant Payments tab in the payment selector.

B. Monthly Reconciliation:

At the beginning of each month, the difference between the estimated cost you paid and actual cost of the claimed gifts will be returned to the “Instant Payments” balance. You can view this balance under the Budget Table in the Billing tab.

Option 2 - Prepay Billing Method:

You can choose to use the Prepay Billing Method to handle additional gift sends for the month. Here's how it works:

To use the Prepay Billing Method, you need to deposit funds into your account. This can be done by going to the Billing tab and clicking on "Add Billing Method." Enter a name for the invoice, the amount you would like to deposit, and the billing address, including the email to which you want the invoice sent.

Make sure that when you estimate your deposit amount, you account for the gift budget, the estimated tax and fee and even add a small buffer to make sure gifts go out smoothly. You will also see our live budget calculator on this step - we recommend using it to ensure you budget enough.

**You can always add funds to an existing Prepay Billing Method by clicking “Edit” on the Prepay row via the Billing Methods table view.

B. Deposit Invoice and Payment:

Once the billing method is created a deposit invoice will be sent to the specified email for the prepay deposit. You can pay the invoice with a credit card by clicking the “pay now” link on the invoice, which will make the deposit available immediately on your dashboard.

Alternatively, you can choose to pay using ACH or wire transfer. Please note that ACH and wire transfer may take longer to process as our Finance team must verify the payment. Once the payment has been reviewed and approved you will get an email notification and the funds will be available on the dashboard.

C. Sending Gifts and Budget Monitoring:

Once the funds are received and the invoice is paid, the deposited amount will be added to your prepay balance. You can now send gifts and the cost will be deducted from your prepay balance. Your remaining budget will be updated based on the gifts you send and the actual cost of the claimed gifts each 1st of the month.
