Understanding the different sending methods for Snappy gifts

When sending out gifts through the Send Gifts page, you will have the option of sending the gift through a few different methods, depending on the information you have available for your recipient.

  • Email and SMS: Send gifts by either email, SMS, or both. In order to send via both methods, an email and a phone number must be provided. This option is only available for Spot Rewards and Scheduled Campaigns.

  • Email: Send gifts only by email.

  • SMS: Send gifts only by SMS. (Format: Just numbers without any special characters such as dashes or parenthesis)
    Here is a list of countries that we support for SMS messaging.

  • Generate Links: Generate unique gift links that you can download and then distribute to your recipients on your own. This is perfect for when you don’t have your recipient’s email or phone number, or when you want the gift message to come from a personal email address.

  • Generate Codes: Generate unique gift codes that you can download and then distribute to your recipients on your own. This is perfect for when you want to share the gift with your recipient in person, at an event, or on a handwritten note. Please note that this is only for Spot Reward campaigns (not Scheduled or Automated) since the links will be generated immediately.

🌟 When creating an automated (Birthday or Anniversary) campaign, email is the default sending method. If your recipient only has a phone number in their recipient entry, then it will skip the email and send a gift via SMS.
