Recipient Gift Security

Snappy is committed to protect your recipients' gifts. Here's how.

Updated over 8 months ago

Snappy is committed to ensuring a seamless gift experience for your recipients, and we have added extra security measures to make sure that their gifts are protected.

We've built tighter security measures for gift links in a way that balances security and user experience. Gift will now include security codes that expire to prevent unauthorized access. Here's how it works 🚀

  • Snappy Gifts can only be opened with a combination of the gift ID + a valid security code that's included in the link

  • This code will be valid for 72 hours from sending

  • Once the recipient successfully opens a gift (either with the original link or after Snappy resends them a new link), the access code is saved on that specific device - meaning that further verification would not be required for 60 days

  • If the gift link expires, we’ll resend a new link in one click to the recipient’s email, phone number or both

  • All recipient communications (emails, texts, reminders...) will include a valid gift link.

Please Note: Gifts created via the Gift Codes/Gift Links generator will not have a security code sent to the recipient since there is no email or phone number linked to the gift.

Recipient Experience

1) Expired Security Code ⏰

Your recipient will open their gift link and come across this page here. They will need to select "Resend My Gift Link" as shown below.

2) Access Link from Email/SMS

Your recipient will receive an updated gift link (with a valid code), where they can then access their gift.
