How to Create a Campaign: Spot Rewards or Scheduled Gifts

A step-by-step guide to creating spot rewards and scheduled gifts campaigns

With the "Send Gifts" button, you will be creating a new campaign to send a Spot Rewards gift or Scheduled gift.

Spot Rewards
Send gifts on-the-spot! Gifts will be issued immediately as soon as you select "Send Gifts!" Our gifting experts recommend Spot Rewards for quick, one-off sends or small group batch sends.

Scheduled ⏰
Plan ahead by setting a date and time for your gifts to be sent to your recipients! Gifts will be issued at a future date and time – as chosen by you. This is an easy way for you to cross things off your “to do” list now and delight your recipients later! Use this for both big batch and small sends.

Create a Campaign

1️⃣ Select the blue "Send Gifts" button → Browse and Send Gifts

Once you click, you will be brought to the Browse Gifts tab to view our current offerings from our specially curated collections.

  • Select the budget and countries you wish to send to
    The collections will update depending on those parameters.

    ✏️ Snappy has our standard budgets listed for quick-and-easy selection, but if you have another budget in mind, select the budget drop-down and add your custom budget range as needed.

  • Select a collection
    You can only select one collection for your send. Select the collection that you like and best suits your recipients!

2️⃣ Gift Settings

Now, you will need to select the delivery method and adjust your campaign settings. If you wish to come back to this campaign later, select "Save Draft" at the top right-hand corner. 🌟

  • Your Gift Selection: This refers to your selected collection and budget

  • Delivery Methods: ​Select your desired delivery method (Email/SMS/Slack). You can also self-distribute gifts by choosing to generate gift codes or links.

    • Please Note: The Snappy App for Slack is only available for Elevated + Enterprise plans and must be first configured in order for this option to populate.

  • Gift Settings: Name your campaign, schedule your send, and set an expiration date

    • Note: The minimum expiration date is 31 days after your gift send. To expire your gifts even sooner, manually expire them from the Gift Activity tab.


3️⃣ Personalize

Enhance your recipient's experience by personalizing both the wrapping and the greeting message! Click "Edit" to customize the different sections. ✨

  • Email Design: Customize the email your recipient receives in their inbox by adding your own personal touch.

    • This option is only relevant if you set the notification method to "Email" on the Gift Settings page.

  • Unwrapping Experience: Select the themed option that best matches the occasion and sentiment of your gift send.

  • Greeting Card: Add a greeting to your gifts and use merged tags to personalize it for all recipients.

    • You can also select the "Switch to Video" option to upload a video greeting instead. This will replace your text greeting.

💡 TIP: When sending gifts, especially batch gifts, our gifting experts recommend keeping the merged tag, @firstname to address your recipient. This will pull your recipient's first name that is listed in the system. This helps personalize the gifts so that your recipients can feel special when opening their email or gift link! 😊

4️⃣ Recipients

Add your recipients! There are multiple ways of adding your recipients to your gift send. Listed are the different methods. Click here for a visual walkthrough of each. 📺

    • This is best for batch gift sends. If you have a spreadsheet with your recipients listed, you can upload it here.

    • The Upload Wizard may not accept all fields listed in your spreadsheet, so make sure to double-check with our Snappy template. If you upload your list with a different field header from what we already have in the system, you can simply adjust that on the "matching fields" step of the Upload Wizard.

      • If you do not have a spreadsheet and need a template, select the "Template" button to download an example file.

        • Required fields: First Name, Last Name, Email or Phone Number, and Country (please input 2-letter country code). All other fields are optional.

  • Select from Existing/Prior: If you have recipients under your main Recipients tab, you can select them.

    • Add all recipients: Select the checkbox next to the "First Name" column → Select all recipients → Add all recipients

    • Use a filter: If your roster has recipients coded to different departments or countries, use the filter option to pull recipients from the set parameters.

      • Select the "Filter" icon → " + Add filter " → Set up your parameters → Add

  • Add New Recipient: Manually add individual recipients by inputting their First Name, Last Name, Email and/or Phone Number, and Country

5️⃣ Review & Send

Review your campaign details to ensure that everything is good to go!

  • Send yourself (or manager) a test email to preview the gift experience.

  • Confirm the billing method or select another billing method as needed.

  • Once everything is ready to go, select the "Send Gifts" or"Schedule Gifts" button to complete your gift send. 🚀

🚨 Gifts are always tied to the original billing information that they are sent from. Please make sure the billing method listed on your checkout page is the exact one you wish to be charged and invoiced against.
